On a dark and gloomy night, a child was born to two unsuspecting parents. They were overjoyed but oh, little did they know that they had created a monster... A child that at the age of 5 was obsessed with Egyptian mummies and wanted one of her own to dissect. A child who was destined to love Lord of the Rings and pizza more than she loves the air that she breathes. A child that wanted books more than she wanted anything else...

Hiya! A hearty salutations to you. You have stumbled upon the blog of a writer, fantasy geek, anti social, and all around crazy teenager. If you haven't already been scared away then you are obviously quite brave! Congrats.

My name is Marissa and I'm 17. I live in a small, dead (no zombies) and rather boring town in the great state of Alabama! The heart of Dixie! Sweet home Alabama! And all those good names.

I am homeschooled which I can go ahead and say with confidence is the reason I write so much. Living in a small town and not going to school leaves me with plenty of time to write. When I'm not hanging out with friends or at church, that is... and sometimes I write in church as well.. Probably not a great thing, but when inspiration hits I can't help it.

My family is the most important thing in the world to me. We fight like cats and dogs, but that's ok!

I am a lover of movies and books. There is nothing I would rather do than have a movie night and watch every Lord of the Rings in one sitting ;) It's possible! But I also love any and all action movies.. Marvel especially.

I am obsessed with pirates by the way.. My mom has to remind me on a regular basis that I can't marry a pirate since they don't exist.. But the actors who play them are ;) OUAT Hook, Cap. Jack, and Will Turner, I'm coming for you!!

My one true love is writing. We have a lot hate relationship, but I couldn't live without it. I have gotten to the point where I can't go a day without writing something. Whether it be a diary entry, a fanfic update, or a special work in progress, I have to write.
